Reception
Reception staff are on hand to answer questions and facilitate access for people with disabilities within the Gadagne and its two museums.
People with reduced mobility are invited to enter the building via 14 rue de Gadagne (40 metres from the main entrance), where there is a lift.
Nearby parking
Disabled parking spaces are located at 3 and 13 quai Romain Rolland, 69005, Lyon (280 metres from the entrance).
People with severe mobility issues are invited to contact the Gadagne reservation department on + 33 (0)4 78 42 03 61.

Admission
Admission is free for people with disabilities and the person accompanying them. To obtain a free admission ticket, disabled visitors should go to the museum reception desk and present valid proof of disability.
There is also a special rate for group or individual guided activities. For further information and requests, please contact the Reservation Department:

Additional support
The building, cafe and gardens all have lifts and ramps. The numbers of the floors are embossed and translated into Braille. Handrails have been fitted to the ramps and stairs.
A wheelchair is available on request from reception. Folding seats are also available from the reception desk and there are rest areas throughout the tour route of the two museums.
Guide dogs are welcome.

Activities
Please contact the Gadagne Visitor Mediation and Development Department if you would like to organise a guided visit or workshop.
The permanent exhibition area of the Puppetry Museum has been designed as an interactive area for learning about the art of puppetry.
Audio recordings, video tutorials by puppeteers and extracts from shows feature throughout the visit to enhance the learning experience.
Puppets designed to be handled by visitors are also provided in the various exhibition rooms to enable visitors to try their hand at the different animation techniques.
Finally, visitors can see a collection of the different materials used to make puppets.
The permanent exhibition space of the Lyon History Museum has four themed areas to help visitors discover and understand Lyon.
- Portraits of Lyon: opened on 4 December 2019 (one-hour visit)
- On the Waterfront. Living with the Rhône and Saône: scheduled to open in March 2021
- Trading, manufacturing and innovating: scheduled to open in March 2022
- Power, commitment and citizenship: scheduled to open in March 2023
Interpretation aids, including audio and video recordings, are available throughout the exhibition to help visitors understand the collections.
